An outing is any event the Alpha chooses to attend that it does not itself plan. This could be anywhere, anytime, planned for months, or just an opportunity on the weekend. It can also be with one person or the whole Brotherhood. The purpose is to enjoy each other and have a great time! Some possible Brotherhood outings are:

  • Local Auto Races/Nascar/Monster truck rally
  • WWE/Wrestling event
  • Auto Shows
  • Rodeo
  • Concerts/Music Festival
  • Lazer Tag/Paintball/Airsoft
  • Amusement Park
  • Water Park
  • Beach
  • Movies
  • Kayaking
  • Canoeing
  • Berry Picking (Girls will love this)
  • Hiking
  • Golfing
  • Sledding (Seasonal)
  • Skiing (Seasonal)
  • Ice Skating (Seasonal)
  • Museums
  • Zoos
  • Ropes Course
  • Chartered Fishing Trip
  • Polo Match
  • Hiking/Camping
  • Mountain biking
  • Lake trip
  • Go-Karts/Adventure Place
  • Breweries/Vineyards
  • Dave and Busters
  • Theater production
  • Aquarium

  • Planetarium
  • Speaker on campus
  • Comedy Show

  • Attend events hosted by other Greek organizations

Requirements: The supplies for outings will depend on the event you choose to attend. It is always important to remember to acquire safe and reliable transportation

Tips to Remember:

  • Have Brothers bring dates or invite a sorority
  • Invite parents or alumni, recruits or community members to expand the event.
  • Invite Central Office Staff!!
  • Choose event (you can use online coupons like LivingSocial or Groupon to save money)
  • Acquire tickets (if applicable). Call ahead to see if you can get a group rate.
  • Organize transportation
  • Be sure the outing is risk management compliant.
